1. Who We Are
LUXELLEAN (luxellean.com) is an independent online directory that helps people in the United States find alteration and tailoring businesses. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and the choices you have. Questions go to privacy@luxellean.com.
2. Information You Give Us
Appointment requests: your name, email, phone number (optional), the service, your preferred time and any notes. Newsletter: your email. Contact form: your name, email and message. AI chat: the messages you type. Business owners: account and contact details, profile content and photos, booking settings, and the one-time sign-in codes we send by email or text message.
3. Information Collected Automatically
Your approximate city, worked out by our hosting provider from your connection; we don't store your IP address for this. Which businesses and pages you view or click, recorded without your IP address or any user ID. Google Analytics and Google Ads data: in the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland only if you accept those cookies, elsewhere unless you opt out (see our Cookie Policy). For business accounts, the IP address and browser used to sign in, to keep accounts secure.
4. How We Use It
To run the directory and match you with businesses; to pass your appointment request to the business you chose and email you about it; to answer your messages; to send the newsletter you subscribed to; to secure accounts and prevent abuse; to improve the service; and to measure visits and ads (with your consent where the law requires it). Where EU or UK law applies, we rely on providing the service you asked for, our legitimate interest in running and securing LUXELLEAN, and your consent (cookies, newsletter). We do not sell your personal information.
5. Appointment Requests
When you request an appointment through LUXELLEAN, we send your name, email, phone number (if given), the service, your preferred time and any notes to the business you chose, so it can reply. Many listed businesses are not affiliated with LUXELLEAN; once they have your details, their own practices apply. We keep request records to run the service and may email you about your request, including other specialists nearby if it isn't confirmed.
6. Business Data
Business information such as names, addresses, phone numbers, photos, ratings and reviews comes from public Google Maps data and from owners who claim their profiles, and is shown publicly to help customers choose. A business can ask us to correct or remove its listing at hello@luxellean.com.
7. Cookies
We use essential cookies and browser storage to keep business owners signed in and remember your city and cookie choice. In the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland, Google Analytics and Google Ads cookies load only after you accept them; elsewhere they load by default, without the Ads cookies if your browser sends Global Privacy Control. Anyone can change their choice anytime with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page. Details are in our Cookie Policy.
8. Service Providers
We use trusted providers that process data on our behalf: Vercel (hosting and file storage), Neon (database), Resend (email delivery), Twilio (text-message sign-in codes), OpenAI (AI chat answers), and Google (maps, business data, calendar sync if a business connects it, and Analytics and Ads as described in our Cookie Policy). They process data under their own terms and privacy policies, and some are located in the United States.
9. How Long We Keep It
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as the law requires. Newsletter signups are kept until you unsubscribe. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.
10. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, object to or restrict how we use it, and withdraw consent. You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time. In the EU or UK you can also complain to your data protection authority. We won't treat you differently for using these rights.
11. Deleting Your Data
To have your data deleted, use "Delete my data" at the bottom of any page, or email privacy@luxellean.com with the subject "Delete my data" and the email address you used. We'll confirm when it's done, normally within 30 days. We may keep what the law requires, such as records needed to resolve a dispute.
12. Children
LUXELLEAN is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information. Appointment requests require you to confirm you're 13 or older, and that a parent or guardian knows if you're under 18. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.
13. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections, hashed passwords and sign-in codes, and access controls. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post changes on this page with a new "Last updated" date, and tell affected users about material changes.
